Our prices are made up of two parts: The Home Visit Fee & The Groom Fee

A Home Visit Fee is charged, in advance, which serves as both the booking deposit and contributes to the costs associated with travel time, fuel, PPE, etc. The minimum fee is £30 but additional charges may apply if your home is more than 25 miles from the Stony Stratford area of Milton Keynes.

All appointments require a non-refundable deposit of £30 to secure your cat’s spot in the diary, payable within 24 hours. On receipt of the deposit, you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your cat’s grooming appointment. If the deposit is not received appointments will go back to the diary as available bookings. Cancellations must be made by phone and a cancellation fee will be payable for future bookings if less than 48 hours’ notice given, or if the cat is not there on arrival. Cat Grooming

Catastic provides low stress cat grooming in the comfort of your own home – perfect for shy, nervous or fearful cats who prefer to stay with their owners during their groom. Specialising in cat behaviour, the focus will be on keeping your cat’s coat in good condition through regular maintenance grooms and reducing their fear associated with the grooming process through gentle exposure, desensitization, positive reinforcement, patience and trust. We are Fear Free Certified and use the concepts from the certification program to ensure that each grooming experience is as enjoyable as possible.

A quote will be given based on a number of factors such as your cat’s temperament, coat condition and any behavioural concerns you may have. A stressful groom can really set your cat back and may have a knock-on effect on other areas of their life; therefore the way we approach cat grooming is with your cat’s overall emotional welfare in mind. We do not focus on aesthetics, but rather on keeping your cats’ stress levels low and helping them feel safe and secure; so that in time they see the grooming process in a positive way and accept both their groomer and owner brushing and handling them.

If this is the type of grooming experience you want for your cat please do get in touch.

Please note we have a strict regular grooming policy, due to limited timing and striving for a positive, high quality and fear-free grooming experience for your cat. We will advise you during the first consultation on a recommended maintenance program which will help to keep them in tip-top condition, and the groom process as stress free as possible.

All appointments require a non-refundable deposit of £30 to secure your cat’s spot in the diary, payable within 24 hours. On receipt of the deposit you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your cat’s grooming appointment. If the deposit is not received within this time your appointment will go back to the diary as available for booking. Cancellations must be made by phone and a cancellation fee will be payable for future bookings if less than 48 hours’ notice given, or if the cat is not there on arrival. If you need to reschedule your appointment please do so with as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment as we have limited time blocks for our grooming service. You can read our full terms and conditions here.

A Home Visit Fee is charged, in advance, which serves as both the booking deposit and contributes to the costs associated with travel time, fuel, PPE, etc. When you contact us to book an appointment we will be able to confirm price based on your location.

Cat Behaviour and Kitten Kindergarten

Everyone knows how important it is to train and socialise puppies, but did you know it is just as important for your kittens too? Cats, like dogs, require socialisation with members of their own species as well as with other people and dogs if they are to become social members of our homes, and it is well known that early handling of kittens influences their development. Kitten Kindergarden classes are the perfect way to set you up on the right track and help your new kitten become a happy and well-adjusted new furry member of the family. We will help you teach you behaviour management techniques and how to prevent any unwanted behaviours later in life.

Our Kitten Kindergarten classes have been developed by Mary Wise, a feline behaviour student with the APBC, and are based on the Kitten Kindy classes created by leading veterinary behaviourist Dr. Kersti Seksel. We aim to:

  • Educate owners on all aspects of kitten development, living with other pets or children in the family
  • Teach owners how to interact and play with their kittens appropriately
  • Socialisation of kittens
  • Educate owners about what normal feline behaviour looks like
  • Train kittens to accept handling (which includes exposure to early grooming techniques)
  • Discussion around grooming requirements of specific breeds and demonstrations
