Catastic Cat Sitting, Behaviour & Grooming

Catastic provides an exclusive home-based cat sitting, behaviour and grooming service within Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

At Catastic we use the EMRA ™ model to ensure your cat’s emotional wellbeing needs are being met. We use this technique and method of working in our cat sitting service, behaviour modification plans and holistic grooming – it guides and shapes everything we do.

EMRA stands for Emotional, Mood State and Reinforcement Assessment which:

  • Analyses how your cat feels on a day-to-day basis – are they fully content with life?
  • Considers their breed specific needs, whether these needs are being met and if not whether we can improve their mood by including anything that may be missing
  • Determines how your cat feels when a situation arises that may make him or her feel uncomfortable
  • Provides an understanding of why your cat is continuing to perform a particular behaviour

Why choose us?

In-Home Services

A cat must be able to avoid things that scare them (and this includes other cats), and they all want to feel safe. Where a cat is unable to avoid threats in their environment they may suffer with chronic distress and anxiety, which can lead to illness. We provide our cat sitting and grooming services in your home which eliminates the stress associated with travelling and being in unfamiliar environments. We also work with owners on behaviour issues / grooming acceptance and these sessions also take place in your home, so that we can observe your cat in its natural environment and help identify solutions that work for them and you.

Qualified & Experienced

When you work with animals, every day is a learning day! So to maintain our high standards and ensure we are keeping up to date with the latest in all things feline behaviour, welfare, grooming, and nutrition we participate in monthly webinars, workshops, and online study. Business owner, Mary, will be applying for full Clinical Animal Behaviourist (practitioner) status in spring 2023 so you can rest assured that your cats are in safe hands – we place their welfare above all else and the team also regularly participate in CPD to facilitate this. Some of our recent qualifications below:

  • Advanced Diploma Applied Animal Behaviour (Feline) – Level 6 (ongoing)
  • Advanced Diploma Applied Animal Behaviour (Feline) – Level 5

Milton Keynes’ Professional Cat Sitting Service

“We are not a franchise or agency, but a team of trusted and reliable pet sitters providing a stress-free alternative to catteries”

Providing a relaxed holiday experience for you and your cat, Catastic offer a reliable, kind and loving alternative to the cattery experience you may be familiar with – that of in-home, professional cat care. As many owners will be aware, cats are highly territorial and prefer their routines and safe home environment. A cattery stay means stressful car journeys, other cats and different sights and smells, which can sometimes result in (stress-induced) urinary tract infections, depression or anxiety.

We have been looking after cats professionally since 2015 and specialise in feline behaviour, with a particular passion in providing compassionate senior cat care and education for new kitten owners. Our team of professional cat sitters are fully licensed and insured and receive regular CPD training. You will receive daily picture updates about both your cat and home for your peace of mind.
